There are many online courses available related to cognitive science, but I presume you’re talking about an actual, ‘proper’ degree. In that case, the answer is somewhat complex.
Cognitive science is a complex, interdisciplinary field that borrows from insights in philosophy, psychology, artificial intelligence / computer science, psychology, neuroscience, biology and anthropology, and I’m probably forgetting quite a few. I don’t think there’s an online or distance-learning degree in cognitive science, but there are many online or distance-learning degrees in many of the related fields, which can be a first step towards a career in cognitive science.
The Open University UK offers distance-learning degrees in philosophy, psychology, computer science, and biology. All of these can provide an entry into cognitive science. These degrees usually aren’t completely online — there are often some in-class tutorials or mandatory excursions, but it’s certainly possible to combine these with a full-time job.
Maybe it is disappointing that I couldn’t provide you with any actual degrees is cognitive science, but my experience is that cognitive science groups really consist of scientists with many different backgrounds coming together to solve complex problems. It’s generally not something you get into straight away, but rather after an initial degree. So don’t let this discourage you: any of these degrees can definitely lead into cognitive science.
